Planning

Here are some ideas of what my health campaign may be about
Sexual health
                Healthy eating
                Giving up smoking

I then looked into different campaigns that are currently in the media and I found that
·         Sexual health
·         Healthy eating
·         Child abuse
·         Alcohol
·         Giving up smoking
·         Cancer awareness
Following this I have looked into the different websites and page layouts of a campaign website and given a few examples of each that I looked at.

Sexual health

Healthy eating

Child abuse

Alcohol

Giving up smoking

Cancer awareness

I have chosen to base my campaign around sexual health. Through looking into sexual health I have found that it is currently problem both locally and nationally, and I feel that it is an area that could be promoted more through the media.

Experiences
On this page is going to be a video of people that have had experiences of STI’s or it has affected a friend or family member in some way. The people included in this will have their identities hidden for confidentiality reasons.  This will allow people to see that it does happen to everyday people and could also happen to them. Nobody is safe from STI’s unless they are willing to take precautions themselves.

At the bottom of the page will be a space for people to be able to leave their own comments about their own personal experiences. All of these will have no name attached to them unless the person posting the comment choose to enter their name, this way people are able to see the damage that STI’s can cause to people and their lives.
Contraception

- How effective different types of contraception are
-  Most common methods of contraception
Facts
This page will consist of various facts and figures that many people may not know about, or things that they know but choose to ignore, it will also give the audience a chance to read through various facts in their own time rather than being overloaded by information talked at them through schools, or various other ways.

Links
This page will consist of different websites that are currently out there that offer help and support for all ages. Having looked into the various websites that are currently available I am considering using the following web links

Through doing my research healthy eating caught my eye and inspired me to want to raise awareness of healthy eating alongside the other campaigns that are currently in place. This allows me to have a larger target audience, and to get the message across in effective ways.

Here are my logo ideas of what I want to call my website and the campaign:-

Dialogue
Paediatrician-
Hello my name is Dawn Lover and I am a paediatrician at the L&D Hospital. I have recently carried out some research in which I found children with active lifestyles and nutritionally balanced diets, achieve well academically. Children will also benefit from the long-term physiological consequences and are more likely to adopt a healthier diet in later life. There is also evidence to suggest that material and social context affect children’s intake.

Below are a few layout ideas for my website.

Above is the style that the rest of my website will be taking

Below are going to be the different layouts of all my pages that I plan to put into my website. They will all follow the same house style. From my research I found that all websites follow the same style all the way through whether it’s a health campaign, a school website or clothing websites.

This webpage is going to be about the campaign and to see what the website is going to be about.

On this page is going to be information about what the campaign is going to be about. This will make people aware of what they are going to be seeing when looking around the site and the changes that they are able to make.

At the bottom of this page is going to be all the contact details of the target audience to be able to contact us for any queries that they may have. It also gives them the opportunity to talk to someone on the team nationally by using a (0845) number and locally by using a (01525) people are also able to fax into the company anything that they wish, it also gives other companies the chance to possibly want to support us or co-join with the campaign

On this page there Is going to be click throughs to the following links:-
College Lake
Dunstable downs
Dunstable leisure centre
Willen Lake
Wardown Park
This is one of the codes and conventions of a website. Have decided to use this as having all the different information on one page would get too confusing for my target audience and don’t want them to feel that they are overloaded with information on one page.
All of these click throughs will have a number of pictures on them that are original documents  along with some information about the attraction that informs people of what they are going to visit and what they have to offer.

On this slide is going to be my video. My video is going to be about children staying healthy and have a paediatrician as a voice over to explain what research she has conducted and what she has found. There is also going to be contact information that people are able to make use of.
The picture on this page is going to be of my paediatrician that has taken part in the research and will also be my voice over

On this slide is going to be healthy recipe ideas that I have researched into. This will hopefully encourage people to make changes to their diets as they are able to cook with quick and simple recipes that they are able to get the children involved in to which encourages healthy eating within the children as well.
The pictures that are going to be on here are of fruit and healthy foods that people are able to cook with.

Sometimes people aren’t aware of different ways that they are able to stay fit and healthy in simple ways. This slide is going to have information on so people are able to be the little changes the will make a difference in the long run. This will give them help and pointers to what they can do to improve what they are currently doing. There won’t be too much information on here as my target audience don’t want pages of information to read thorough so on here is going to be the important bits that people want to read.

On this page is going to be different foods people should eat and other things that they should try to avoid. It will give the target audience an insight to what maybe they don’t know about what goes into food. What contains various salt levels etc.

I also found that they have similar layouts throughout, however due the variety that I wanted in my website it did not allow me to have the same layout such as having pictures all in the same place and text all in the same place and have therefore had to make some changes. You can see through looking at my mock ups of my pages for my website, I have followed the codes and conventions of a website as all my pages have the same layout, click throughs on certain pages and the email address and telephone contact details.

 Website Questionnaire
This questionnaire is based around the amount you use the internet. From the results of this survey it will help me to create a website based around my target audience and their preferences as to what they look for in a website.

Above are the questions that I asked my target audience along with the answers that they gave. For the last three questions they were able to give more than one answer. From the answers I am then going to create my website taking into consideration everything that my target audience want in a website. This way I am meeting all of their needs.

I devised a questionnaire to gather some information about what my target audience would like to find in a website to help make mine more successful. I handed out my questionnaire to 10 people that fit my criteria for my target audience. My target audience are people that are family orientated and more aimed at females as they are mediated as being the more ‘family’ person. They nurture their families and the aim of this campaign is to help families to make differences in their lifestyle.

I ensured that I asked both male and females so that I have made it a fair assessment rather than just having one sided answers. So I therefore asked 5 males and 5 females.
So that my questionnaire gave me the right answers that I was looking for I asked people that are in my target audience between the ages of 19-45. These are the generations that are more likely to have younger children and to want to make a change in their young families lives.
From handing out my questionnaire to my target audience I found out from my results that 7/10 use the internet on a daily basis, which would indicate that I need to have regular and up to date information, making my website eye catching and appealing would then catch word of mouth and spread the news of my website. 3/10 use the internet on a weekly basis and 1/10 use the internet on a monthly basis.
I also gathered information such as 10/10 of my target audience use the internet mainly for social, work and domestic use. 8/10 use the internet for information. 7\10 use the internet for research and 4/10 use the internet for leisure.
This helped me to understand that I would have to make my website fit these peoples use as they are my target audience and need to fit their needs through my website. To make sure that I am aiming my website at the right audience.
